Approved Fruits for the HCG Diet
The HCG diet consists of two main components, daily doses of the HCG hormone and a 500 calorie per day diet. The diet itself is very strict and consists of a fairly short list of allowed foods.
Included in this list are a few approved fruits. It is very important to eat only the foods included in the list regardless of calorie count. These are the only foods that were shown in Dr Simeons lengthy studies to aid in weight loss while on the HCG diet.
Even though you may not exceed the 500 calorie a day limit, deviations from the food list can cause you to actually gain weight so be fully aware of this.

There are so many options now for sweeteners and flavor additives on the market there is really no reason to have plain old fruit every day on this diet.
